Online Shopping Woes

Usually I'm here telling you why you should get over your reasons to not shop online...and though I firmly believe it can work out and not be the biggest pain in the ass...the truth is...sometimes it just is!

I'm not a fan of paying for shipping...I don't want to pay to get it and I don't want to pay to send it back if it doesn't work out.  If I can't try it on in a store...I shouldn't have to pay to get it or give it back when the fit doesn't work...or if the product doesn't look as fabulous as it did online.

Simply Be
Geo Print Pull On Pant
$55.00

I was obsessed with these pants on site...but you see I don't own any knit pants and I was worried about the fit.  Simply Be does offer great discounts here and there but they do charge for shipping both ways...$4.95 to get it to you and $6.95 if your order didn't work out for some reason...and even with your best efforts of getting your right size it still burns to pay one way or both.

So, I reached out via their facebook fan page and twitter...I asked about fit...twice...if I was going to pay for shipping it would only be once...assuming I liked how these looked on me.  But I never heard back...and now these amazing bottoms are only available in sizes 8 and 24.  Sigh.

Don't get me wrong...I still love Simply Be and will continue to shop with them...I'm just hoping that retailers will realize that the Plus Size Community is reaching out to them and we're not hoping for answers...we expect them.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this...leave your comments below!

    1. Hey Katie!

So I totally thought these were never going to be mine but I stalked www.simplybe.com like it was my part time job and FINALLY found them in what I hope is my size! I'd say keep checking back...you never know if they'll be available in your size again...but if you don't have the time for that check these out!

  2. I have ordered from them before and always have sent stuff back :( I still love their clothes, but i am afraid now. Plus, like u said there are shipping and return charges and it is just not worth it. U know they used to have free shipping, i dont know as they got bigger and more well known they changed that...and they are pricey, so are Lane bryant thou and city chic. I have to say ASOS CURVE I love, the prices are all right on some thigs and they fit great...FREE shipping and returns, as well.

    1. Hi Natasha!
I actually ended up getting these pants...the fit is a bit funny feeling but they look great and I've received a bunch of complements on them. I was worried to order them due to the shipping costs...and I think I kept them in part because I didn't want to lose out on the shipping cost...but I'm glad I did keep them. I agree with shipping at Lane Bryant...I just use their In Store Pick-up...but that's a pain too. I've always managed to get free shipping from City Chic though...hit me up for coupon codes next time you have your eye on something! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

  3. Online shopping can be a great experience if you are aware of right place to buy. I always look upon one day sale options to get good discount on products.
