I do!

In five months I will have been married for five years!  My husband and I will be going to Maui to celebrate and I'm on the hunt for the perfect Anniversary dress!


To get you up to speed...this is where I started..my wedding dress!  So it's not traditional...but then neither was my courtship!  I met my husband on the M Light Rail Muni in front of SF State...three months later we were married!

Neon Obsession

I love bright colors...they just make me happy!  So when I saw this top from ASOS Curve I had to have it right away!  I blogged about it with mixed reviews...but once I got it in the mail and wore it the feedback was nothing but positive!  
I rarely listen to the opinions of others about my wardrobe and I'm glad because if I had listened to the peanut gallery I wouldn't own this fab top!

Funny because same went for these shoes...when I was hunting for them online NO ONE thought they were cute...and now I can't wear them without someone complementing them!  I'm totally obsessed with Jeffrey Campbell shoes...I can't pull off all of the crazy styles they put out but some of them just call my name!  It doesn't hurt that they more often than not are actually bearable in the comfort department!

I Work Out!

If there is such an obesity problem in the US why is it so hard to find Women's Plus Active Wear?  I'm always lusting after so many active tops...sports bras...track jackets and nothing is available in my size!  How are we supposed to get fit with nothing to workout in...and why can't we look cute while losing it?

I've been an active person my whole life...I was a varsity athlete in High School and I continue to participate in my favorite sports...though not as much as I'd like or should!  I want to wear that cute Nike mesh top...that hot pink tank from Victoria Secret Pink...but if I can't I want someone to make something similar to that for me!  


There's just something about loving what I work out in...it makes it fun and easier somehow!  What do you work out in?  Dose it matter?  What Brand(s) would you wear if they came in Plus Sizes?  I'd love to hear from you!

We've all done it...stopped to look at something...and after admiring it kept walking with a thought or comment "It's super cute but that cut is so unflattering!" 


I saw this dress in store and said something of the sorts...on the hanger the dress lacked shape and looked like it would make me look a hot mess...then I got into a twitter convo with @NordstromSF and they sent me a video tweet with one of the sales girls wearing it and I think she looked amazing!

Love It or Leave It

I wanna hear it...your thoughts on smocking!  


What is smocking?  It's that embroidery/stitching technique used to gather fabric so that it can stretch ...it can be at the waist, under bust (empire) on the sleeve...at the wrist etc.  Do you love it?  Do you care? Would it stop you from buying a top?

I hesitated on ordering this top because of the smocking at the waist.  For me it doesn't always work out as I have a longer torso...but I couldn't resist as I LOVE chiffon...and this color/pattern was just calling my name!

The Swim Experiment

Forever long I have been on the hunt for a fashionable, comfortable, flattering swim suit.  I have found some...but they were never "the one".  You see I don't lay out...I get in and I swim...attempt wake-boarding and other water sports and or activities.  


One of my biggest fails in past searches were two piece options...I'm in the water all day and if you've ever taken off a wet one piece you know how much of a pain it is and lets be real a girl has to hit the restroom a few times during the day!

Just this week I placed an order for what I'm hoping will be my dream two piece swim suit!  You see I want the two piece for comfort and function...but under no circumstance should my tummy show!  This high-waist swim brief should do the trick, I'm just hoping the size I've ordered fits and the quality is there as I'm sure I'll have to pay for return/exchange if it doesn't work.  As for the City Chic tankini top...I've been eyeing it for some time now and with free shipping both ways I'm confident it will work out!
